Fun at Hallmark

I have been at Hallmark for going on 7 years, even though I am just a sales associate this job is helping me more than I know in my accounting class. Thank goodness because I was not loving the Economics and you could see it in my grades. But, Hallmark isn't just a cheat sheet for me. I think I have met my best friend there. Where have you been all my life? I have a few great friends at Hallmark, Mel, Shannon, Amanda (even though I don't agree with her branding herself with her boyfriend's name), and a couple of people I look up to, Melanie, Judy and there's always silly Ann Marie (with her crazy hair), Barbara (I love hearing about all of David's kids), Sheila (has some interesting stories), Ellen (even though we've been bumping heads lately). But, Lori! You are my best, good, bestest buddy! Lori is a few years older than me but she has been more of a friend to me than anyone in my life. I have had friends in my life that stick around for a couple of years and then poof they're gone! I have a really good friend (Meghan) but she is a busy girl! I see Lori a couple times a week and we laugh, we cry, and we pee! haha! She listens to me when I need someone to listen, no matter if it's about changing my major again, talking about the wedding I've been planning all my life, or whether it's about movies (which by the way I rent all my movies from Lori!), or going to the spa! Which we are all going April 26th! If anyone wants to go the caravan is leaving April 26th at 7 in the morning. Lori also listens to all the mushy, gushy stories about Chad and I. She also listened when I needed her more recently through some difficult family times. She might think I am crazy because I am part Robin Williams, part Chiuahua, part Bulldog, part American Indian, part Queen Elizabeth, part salt-water fish, part macaw, and part Hallmark, so there are a lot of personalities there and I am sure she might get irritated sometimes because I think I am a little crazy. But, thank you Lori, I really don't know what I would do without you. I don't think I would be starting belly dancing in May, I don't know if I ever would have gone to the Spa at Grove Park (it was your idea that I stole almost a year ago), I don't know if I would be reconsidering a degree in some form of visual art either, if it weren't for you! You are my best friend and I hope that you will be a part of Chad and I's wedding because you mean that much to me, (to us)! I think Chad is just as happy as me because now I curtsy for you and not him (I may have scared him with that). If any of you have ever seen me curtsy, well, it's kind of funny! I have been watching "The Royal Family" on PBS and I saw how this lady curtsyed and I have been doing it ever since!

"Tweet Tweet"

Chad and Beth sittin' in a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G, first comes love, then comes marriage, then comes a baby in a baby carriage! Look at us! We've been transformed into birds! I'm orange and Chad is green! How tweet! We went to IKEA yesterday because we went a week or so ago and we were a little rushed. So we went again, and took it slow, and we bought a few things, some new IKEA lamps, some cool IKEA reuseable bags, and a vase for the roses Chad got me. How tweet! The color of them is actually called "Hot Lady," ooh la la! I love flowers! So unexpected! I'm in love! Oh yeah, and I got these sweet little mermaids for the new design of our guest bathroom. I love mermaids, so magical!

Momma

Oh, kids.... Right now I think I have my hands full. I am finishing up on some homework here on the computer and my toddler, Jack, is in there talkingup a storm. He is in this giggling phase, if I could put a recording on here I would, because it is priceless. He loves to lay in bed with mommy and daddy especially if we are reading or watching tv. Lately he has started doing this thing where he rubs the top of his head on your face and he says the most innocent hello or momma. Jack calls both Chad and I momma, funny huh? Well, he keeps us busy as any child, he eats each meal with us, with his own bowl of food, he poops, he crys, he screams, and he misbehaves. For those of you who don't know, Jack is our 4 year old blue and gold macaw. He is our baby, and our parents consider him their grandchild. He is pretty much like a child, if you have been to our house you know he gets as much attention as any child. We love him so much!

Wretched

A thought for the day:

I was watching this great show on the "WordNet" (a christian tv channel) and this is what the guy said.

"Has your boyfriend, girlfriend, spouse ever written you a letter? Have you read it? What if you chose not to read it? Do you think they would be mad if you chose not to read it, let it get all dusty amongst other stuff? Lets face it, they would be really really mad if we didn't read their love letter to us. Well, this is how God feels, a lot of us in the world are not reading his love letters. I'm sure he is not happy with us, he wrote all of those letters and we are letting them accumulate dust. Are you going to read God's love letters?"

This guy on this show is amazing! It comes on every night at 10:00pm on the WordNet, it's called Wretched with Todd Friel. He knows how to witness to people like no other. When I saw this segment, I mean it really got to me. Now every night at 10:00 when we finally get to lay down we watch this show and every night he amazes us. He really knows his Bible. You can check him out at wretchedradio.com he also has a radio show too and a lot of books and stuff. He's awesome!

Dancin', Shaggin' on the Boulevard

Music to my ears. I think this is the song that Chad and I will dance to when we get married. We're going to learn how to shag too. I tried many years ago to learn because mom and dad took classes, but now I actually have a partner, a partner that I want to dance with for the rest of my life. I told him that he could get a Ducati if we took dance lessons. Well, I think it will be worth it for both of us, haha. I heard that song on the radio and I've always thought of us when I've heard that song. Every summer since we've been together we've been to the beach together, that's 4 summers! This year we're hoping to switch it up a little bit and go to some other beach, in some other state. Hmmm... I've heard there are some good ones in Georgia, maybe we can go to the Georgia Aquarium too. I was talking to Lori at work yesterday night and Chad and I really have been to a lot of places together and I hope there will be many more. These pictures are from when we went to the Gaylord in Grapevine, Texas.

Photography Assignment

I have spent the last 3 weeks working on this silly photography assignment. Everywhere I go, everything I do, I have this huge camera attached to me. Well, today is the day, CRITIQUE! Chad and I have been all over taking pictures of everything. I have hundreds of pictures I went through last night, it took forever. Here are a few of the better shots. My assignment was Nature and landscapes. I wanted so bad to get a good picture of a black-capped chickadee. I have been watching little birds on my birdfeeder all weekend. James, my professor told me that we "probably"would not get a good shot of a bird. He was right, he said it would take many hours, with a tripod, hanging from a tree, with leaves taped to you to get good shots of birds. I was up for the challenge though, oh well. I am happy with most of what I did get. What do you think? When I do get that good shot of that black-capped chickadee, I will let you know. It truely is the prettiest little bird I ever saw, well, besides Jack.

5 mile hike

This afternoon we decided to go for a hike, we didn't know how long or how far, we just went. We ended up hiking 5 miles! It was great! By the time we made it to the parking area and got in the car it started to rain. Perfect timing! We had a great hike together. We are really looking forward to going to 40 acre rock on Sarturday. It will be perfect weather for a day outside. We have never been there before so it will be a great experience. We have more recently started to hike more often. When we do decide to finally plan our wedding, and have kids I think that we will cherish these quiet moments, just the two of us. I love him so much! YAdd Image

Our Fish Tank

I mentioned our fish tank in my first post, thought I would post a picture or two so you could see. It is our pride and joy, we spend hours and hours taking care of it every day. It is our TV basically, always something neat to watch. We have hermits (that sadly we have to get rid of), peppermint shrimp, and several fishies, all of which have names, hehe.

St. Patrick's Day (my first blog)

Today is St. Patricks Day, green, green and more green. I went out after work and picked a four-leafed clover for Chad. It took me 30 minutes!

I am so excited for him to get home because we are going out to look for a 20 gallon fish tank setup so I can have my own salt-water fish tank. We currently have a 120 gallon salt-water setup, but we are having to take out our blue-legged hermit crabs because they are hurting our corals. So, solution: get me a 20 gallon setup so I can have as many hermies as I want! ha!
